Dedicated Second Shooter
to Kristen and Event Associate Photographer
I am currently hiring a dedicated second shooter and event associate photographer. This person would be Kristen’s right hand at all weddings, as well as be available for our couple’s pre-wedding events, like rehearsal and welcome dinners.
My second shooter must be entirely proficient in working alone or alongside me. Always have their eyes open for candids and moments happening outside of posed shots. I love staying current with trends and like to add an editorial flair to my weddings and events, so you must stay current on these and how to photograph them. You will be required to travel with me when necessary so having the ability to leave for several days at a time is required.
You would be solo-shooting for events and possibly part of the reception, including exits when required. Our wedding days average 10-12 hours. I would love someone who can bring new ideas, styles and research to my team. Who is refreshing and friendly to work with. Who is comfortable directing poses and taking a lead role, but who doesn’t mind grabbing me a glass of water during family formals!

- Constantly evolving, training and learning to stay up-to-date on style trends. Think KT Merry meets Brides meets Vogue Weddings.
- Has their own equipment suitable for weddings. Nikon and Fuji preferred but not required (bonus points if you have a GFX system or are wanting to invest in one!)
- Has technical knowledge - shooting on manual, lens choices, shooting in RAW, etc.
- Great interpersonal skills - relating well to others, and feels comfortable with posing, direction and prompting of clients
- Must be available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (usually with plenty of notice, but events like rehearsals can be booked semi-last minute)
- Able to travel when required (travel would be paid)
- Interested in being part of a team environment - which means group training and possibly second shooting for other members of the KWP team
- Knowledge of flash for receptions and dark church events
- Someone who is comfortable with the LGBTQA+ community, as well as being interested in different cultures and religions
- Confident shooting all skin tones for proper tone and color
- Someone who has a great personality, can handle stress well and achieves greatness under pressure. You must be able to stay calm under any circumstance, work well with other vendors and be loyal to our team.
- Is professional at all times - absolutely no alcoholic beverages at an event, arrives on time, delegates to their team and fulfills each contract assigned to them.

I am looking to expand my Masters Program and am interested in bringing photographers to our team who can help us create beautiful images with the personality, reputation and professionalism that KWP couples have come to expect.

- Has technical knowledge - shooting on manual, lens choices, shooting on RAW, etc.

- Interested in learning how to shoot for my brand/style
- Available for a large number of Saturday/weekend wedding dates
- Able to travel within Florida (primarily within 3 hours driving distance but also the Keys, as well as domestic and internationally when the occasion arises)
- Interested in being part of a team environment - which means group training, second shooting for other members of the KWP team
- Has their own unique style and viewpoint, but can shoot on-brand for KWP style
- Knowledge of flash for receptions and dark church events
- Someone who is comfortable with the LGBTQA+ community, as well as being interested in different cultures and religions
- Confident shooting all skin tones for proper tone and color

What is a KWP Master Photographer?
As an independent contractor, you would be assigned weddings for couples who are looking for the style and price point of our Master photographers. You can still book weddings outside of KWP and as a second shooter for other companies, but having open availability is a big part of being a KWP Master. I invest the time and training to get you to speed, as well as the marketing and legal part of booking weddings. You would be assigned a couple/date and would be paid an hourly rate for shooting only. All editing goes through our team at the studio. It may also require consultations with couples, or an engagement session. Our Masters have a blanket contract for conduct and expectations, and then are given an “Assignment to Work” for each confirmed booking.
As a Master photographer, you will be part of the KWP team and have the opportunity to be involved in my upcoming training program.
In all, we have an amazing team atmosphere and want to continue to grow and expand. Photographers outside of the Orlando area will be considered so long as you can make yourselves available for training.
